Uber/Lyft PSA - drivers stop doing this please

lol. guys. drive for uber / lyft for 2 seconds before posting paragraphs on reddit. ridiculous. 99% of rideshare drivers are desperate for any kind of employment, are literally driving for $2.62 a ride minus taxes and depreciation, the lyft / uber algorythms give minimal information about rides, desitinations, addresses, routes, often at the very last second possible so driver can't "opt" out, or has a literal 5 second window in which to make a decision which forces him to touch his phone while driving. the entire rideshare operation exists in a grey area that most certainly falls further into the illegal territory. it's these gigantic companies. they are too big to be held accountable, the law literally cannot keep up, let alone wages, let alone trying to get a hold of customer support from lyft / uber being a driver OR passenger. I'm not saying stopping in the middle of the road is ok... but those lyft drivers are literally in survival mode from ride to ride. it's that awful. be happy you have better options than that and perhaps practice some compassion instead of thinking they're being malicious about it
