UK under pressure from Europe over deletion of abortion commitments | The UK government is coming under growing pressure from European countries and human rights groups to explain why commitments to abortion and sexual health rights have been removed from an official statement on gender equality.

How has it come to this? How has it come to that failures like this can be disregarded so lightly? If the UK hosts a conference of this magnitude and fails to even include explicit statements with regards to abortion rights, how can you say this changes nothing for the UK? This shows how rampant these cultural shifts have become. It’s legit horrifying. Why do we put up wi the this shit?

If we have to remove explicit mentions of female bodily autonomy due damaging laws and policies of some countries, we cancel the fucking conference and call it a failure. That’s it. Exclude Malta from the agreement.

Fuck anyone that aren’t openly opposed to using religious freedoms as tools to remove the bodily autonomy of women and their access to safe and legal abortions. That is the only response that should be considered.
