ULPT Request I Need A Job But I Don't Know How To Get My Foot In The Door

Check if your local meat plant is hiring. I am in Georgia and the ones cutting on the lower end are making 17 an hour which is way more than fast food or supermarkets if you are in the South. I am maintenance and a woman on my team started on the lower end on the production floor and she makes over 100k a year. All of the ones in their 50s are. I went from a white collar job to the meat industry recently. This is my first week done. Hard work but $30.5 an hour. Folks think blue collar jobs in industries like that pay shit but they are dead fucking wrong. I have a college degree, I am 35, married with dual income and will be making more than a most of those I graduated with. If I work 1 weekend a month for a year, that is another 12 grand on my paycheck because of double time and weekend bonus. CHECK OUT THE MEAT INDUSTRY. I get filet mignon for a dollar a pound, 401k matched at 8%, top notch healthcare. It's fucking awesome. Dangerous, but awesome.
