I've always been good with languages. The farm was disbanded in the mid-80s, and I picked up conversational English from trying to sell novelty snuff bottles to foreign businessmen. I met a foreigner who was impressed by my English, and he paid for me to study and travel with him to assist in business communication internationally. Eventually came to America through the diversity lottery in the 90s and have since earned a Ph.D. here. None of that would have been possible if it were not for the opportunities capitalism provided.

There's a reason I post anti-ccp sentiment. It's because I've received a liberal education and know-how bad the current policies are for the rest of my family back home.
