Wellness Weekend

TL/DR - wellness is wife and brother discovering that keto really helped them control their appetite.

I'd like to start by saying that I do believe in CICO, but I do believe there are things which definitely make it harder than some to maintain it.

I've been into keto for quite a while now, simply because it makes me feel better. I have no issues controlling my weight on a regular diet, and never really have.

I do know a fair few people who have massive trouble controlling their weight. My wife recently has really struggled, and I managed to persuade her to actually try keto, as well as my brother.

Both have found it to be a revelation. The main issue is that they used to feel hungry all the time, which a lot of people complain about. They don't feel hungry much anymore.

If you believe in the science behind keto, there is a fairly persuasive argument that some people do (and it is genetics) struggle with large amounts of carbs, and their fat cells don't deal with them quite as well as they should. Holding onto them, releasing them slower than required to where you need energy making you more hungry. In my experience this isn't the case but both my brother and wife seem to be this way.
