What are you interested in that people are surprised to find out?

That doesn't sound right... are you sure that it's just that you're not intimidated by some mens knowledge? I mean, I'm not saying ALL men know more about sports than you of course. I just have a lot of trouble believing that you're constantly challenged. I'm sure there are some men out there you know more about, beta's and such... but have you considered that you're just intimidated? Maybe the guy is just speaking normally, and you're just feeling challenged? Like do you even know who was drafted #1 in the NFL draft? Or who won the superbowl [sic] five years ago? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you know know a little about Football and maybe you played soccer or softball in high school, but if you need to know anything, don't hesitate to ask. ;) When I'm done, you'll really love sports.

/kills self.

Anyways, I have a few close friends who are women who are avid sports fans who always have the same complaint. I mean, for christ sake one of my favorite bartenders played college basketball! She has a Notre Dame "Play Like a Champion Today" and a Cubs logo tattoo'd on her! But it's so funny hearing dudes try to catch her up, only for her to correct them a few moments later. At this point I just default to the idea that if I've got information I'm blanking on, she'll know it.

My love of hip hop tends to be the thing people are most surprised by. I'm in the right age range, but at this point I'm a chunky, heavily bespectled white dude who looks standard as fuck. Anytime I can reference some big L bars and catch someone off guard, it's entertaining, and almost always leads to productive questions. But anyways, I'm getting off track. Who is your favorite player for your favorite team, BESIDES the most popular player???????
