RDR2.

The level of detail in this game makes it one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in gaming.

Yesterday I found a random cabin, decided to go up to it, and the guy invited me inside for dinner with his wife. During dinner they gave me alcohol, and I kept drinking until I passed out. They robbed me and threw me in a ditch. When I woke up, I had $0, but I returned to the cabin and killed them to get my money back.

Such a random thing that I stumbled upon myself and it just made the game feel so alive. Something I found without any prompts, something I had control over (I could choose not to keep drinking and leave), and got to discover a way to recover my money.

I don't think any game even comes close to the detail this game has. GTA 5 feels extremely shallow in comparison.
