What are your go to tips, tricks, apps, installs/uninstalls, random settings etc to make your phone run faster?

I pretty much gave up on battery optimizing my phones.. Honestly, its just too much work for too little results. It takes serious dedication to increase your usage by just a couple hours.

BUT if you insist, here are some tips: - If you're running Android M (6.x)a or above, dont bother ever using ANY "battery saver" apps. After M, they are literally useless. - Dont install social media apps.. Use their websites. - Dont use an email app, just get used to checking the website daily - Make sure ALL apps are battery optimized via the Battery>Optimization setting - Toggle Wifi/BT/GPS/Mobile data only when you need them. Dont use apps that do this automatically - Disable Wifi auto scan / notification - Set screen timeout to a minute or less - Disable any sort of screen on function (always on display, screen on when message received etc) - Debloat your device (its usually device specific, so google it) - Disable Google App's auto log / ad save / ad share etc

Generally, it's best to stay away from anything that pushes data to your device and seek website alternatives, and feel free to dig super deep into the settings options both directly from the settings app, and then also in all of your own apps as well.

Honestly though.. Its just not worth it. Just leave the phone be, accept the 4hrs SOT, and charge whenever you need to :)
