What is the most conservative view you have, no matter if you're left wing or right wing?

at a guess, i'd say it's that i support the use of the death penalty. and that i think we need to use it more.

i'm not blood thirsty - i'll explain as briefly as i can manage.

right now, someone sentenced to death actually has a fair chance of dying of natural causes while on death row.

to a 19 or 20 year old, this is no deterrent. 25 years? lord, that's forever.

but if we revamp the system - if we create a court that does nothing but hear capitol crimes appeals, several levels of it... then we cut that 25-30 years on death row down to 12 or 18 months, and still get all of the appeals in. (there are more details in my idea than just this, but like i said, i'm trying to make it as brief as i can).

the end result being that instead of ' oh shit, i'll be dead long before they ever get around to pullin that switch or giving me the shot', the kid might actually think' if i do this, i could be dead by this time next year.'

so.. at first we use it a LOT more, with the end goal of rarely using it at all. turn it into something that actually has a chance to deter violent crime.
