What's a true story from your life that sounds made up?

Whenever I tell stories from my life, people just think it's made up because I've done so many radically different things. I'm American; I've lived in three different countries (US, Japan, and South Korea). I've lived in New York City (which is where I'm from) and San Francisco as well. So I have a lot of stories just from all the places I've lived. I'm white, but I speak Korean. A large number of people automatically think I'm lying about my language skills, which I kind of get, because a lot of people lie about their language ability. I have basic Japanese language skills. I love languages, so I study them often and it has been helpful for where I live. I've been a teacher, worked in a warehouse, worked for a newspaper briefly, and now work in the office at a small auto parts manufacturer, so I've had quite a few jobs that don't really match each other. I'm also only in my mid 30s, so it's not like this is from a lifetime of experience or anything.
