I hate to use the cliché but this thread is a perfect example of why Trump won.

You don't even want to understand them. You just use kitchen psychology stuff to explain their reasons because you know they're bad people.

If there is someone who is not a bad person and actually opposes abortion due to religious convection but actually cares about people after birth (trust me, there is many), do you think he will crave to vote for democrats? Give more voice to the people who put him in the same bin as all the racists and bigots and don't care about him? No, he will slowly realize that people don't care about his opinion, so why should he care about other people. Treating people badly will make them behave badly.
