WIBTA if I lie about having ADiHD

I gotta be honest here, as someone who was a hiring manager for 7 years. Just because it’s illegal to discriminate against someone for some reason doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. They just don’t tell you that’s why.

Quite frankly, ADHD could be a deal breaker far more than being on the spectrum. Autism means you might have socialization issues, not work related issues. Saying you have ADHD is telling them (right or wrong) that you have issues with attentiveness, prioritizing and completing tasks. There is a stigma with ADHD, there are still many people that think it’s a bullshit made up disorder, and you are just lazy.

I have ADD myself, and I learned quickly once diagnosed that some people even think it gives me an unfair advantage. Trying to explain that Adderall puts my brain on an even level with “regular” people gets me nowhere.

It sucks that you even have to deal with this, but I would be wary of replacing one issue with another.
