WIBTA if I tell my intern she needs to come in early to preround?

I mean we’re just comparing anecdotes at this point. At my med school other than truncated 3rd year rotations (which were made up) everyone’s AI was the same as years before.

And let’s not act like you do much 4th year. After your aways and AIs you’re not doing Jack squat.

It’s a myth that Covid is the reason for “poor clinical skills”. The only ones I could see is if you missed a huge portion of IM but if you went into IM you did an AI. And it’s residency like you know you have to work hard. Covid and lack of IM doesn’t change expectations for residency. Like this intern might not be good at carrying 8 patients but she should know she has to.

Just think we’re doing too much of “poor clinical skills cuz of Covid” when in my experience and the other interns in my program that hasn’t been the case.
