Wikileaks Appears To Release Hillary Clinton's Paid Speech Transcripts

As a Sanders supporter, I feel like having this come out earlier would have damaged her primary campaign a bit, because she had tried to pivot to the left and play the progressive but in these speeches she says otherwise.

But this late in the game it doesn't bother me. She's friendly with wall street? She calls the left people with "low social capital"? She describes herself as center-left to center-right? No shit. Unless someone had drank the "Clinton is a true progressive" kool-aid, all of these things were obvious. And even if you accept all these things as fact, if you hold a leftist viewpoint, she'd still be a better choice than Trump. It's a compromise but I think most former Sanders supporters have already made that choice.

The biggest issue I had with Clinton was her supporters, who seemed to think the most effective strategy was collectively gaslighting the left by repeating that Clinton was a true progressive and Sanders was leading a sexist backlash. I always felt she was a centrist, which is honestly not a big deal, but her supporters always denied it. Pretending to be something else is what leads to the distrust. If anything it's oddly refreshing to have all these things affirmed, it's easier to deal with the truth and vote than dealing with a constant storm of argument and second-guessing and doubt.
