Worried about 205 Live and the Cruiserweight Divison

There has only been 3 episodes so far.

Granted it hasn't been the immediate success that the CWC was but this is more of a long term project than that was. I do really agree about the pacing, they really need to allow them to go out there and wrestle their style, that's what made the CWC so compelling, there were a myriad of styles that meshed really well together.

This week had a match that started to really get going and it looked like they were going to start busting out all the top notch flippy shit that got them over in the classic (Dorado/Ali) But they cut the match short with a double countout. The crowd were slowly getting into the match and there really was an audible groan as soon as they realised the match was over.

That being said, I've enjoyed it so far, and it's really only going to get better with the introduction of Gran Metalik, Akira Tozawa, Austin Aries (presumably), maybe Neville, Gargano & Ciampa eventually.

The problem with having them wrestle the high impact style of the CWC every week is that they're on the WWE schedule and that alone will take a toll, so wrestling the indie style just isn't viable, they could reduce the amount of house shows that each cruiserweight has to do to keep them fresh, and that would ideally help their bodies. Another thing would be that wrestling the CWC style would spoil the crowd too much and raise the bar to stupid levels that they begin to expect too much, you need the lows to appreciate the highs.

As for wanting more wrestling, you have the network, there's definitely a few wrestling things on there to occupy you, or watch Lucha Underground, NJPW, ROH, PWG, or whatever wrestling you like, its a vast business.

TL/DR: I ramble.
