YSK homeless people are just regular people who have gone through a hard time and can’t find a way back

Dude this just isn't true at all.. I work with this kid who gets 40/hrs a week. He spends his entire check on cigarettes, girls who barely give him attention and weed. Refuses to live in an area he can realistically afford himself or take anyones advice on getting his own place. He is about to be homeless because he hopped from friends couch to friends couch for 3+ years without saving or trying to better himself. Now all his friends are fed up and he just tries to guilt trip people into helping him.

I rented a room to this guy for almost a year. He paid maybe half of his already disgustingly cheap rent and almost none of his utilities the whole year. We fed him and basically supported him the entire time. He could barely hold a job for a month before he would just start calling out everyday or stayed up all night smoking weed, listening to music, or creeping on girls via social media. (including my gf at one point) He ended up stealing 200$ worth of stuff and vanishing 2 days before his rent was due and a day after his swore he had a job. (He was hanging out at walmart for 7 hours a day) A friend saw him living on the street a few weeks later.

Another guy I worked with a while ago was in college very responsible and worked again 40/hrs a week. Started hanging out with some girls from work and going to frat parties every other night. Got fired and dropped out of school shortly after. Quickly became an alcoholic and lost his place because he couldn't pay rent. He ended up staying with one of the girls who started basically fully supporting him. I'm pretty sure he has a job now and is doing better tho.

All of these guys are beyond capable of functioning in society but make insanely poor choices for the sake of pride, bud, or pussy.
