16 year old daughter dating 26 year old?!?!

When I was 16, I got my first job at McDonalds. The day I went in to apply, a friend introduced me to another worker who had just started, who was to be my manager (24). The guy claims he had fallen for me the moment he saw me - I have always looked older than I really am so he honestly thought I was 18 (I ran with a slightly older crowd).

He ended up asking me over to his house one day and I agreed (I know it was wrong of me but I never told him my real age because he never asked). We started dating and about 3 weeks into the relationship, he was "kicked: out of his deadbeat brother's house because he would not pay $450 of a $500 rent bill that was his brother's. I talked to my dad and he agreed that he would be comfortable with my boyfriend moving in with us. My dad is a laid back, great guy. WELL. One day my dad and my boyfriend were talking, and he told him I was 19 (behind my back). WHY DAD??

All was good until my little sister got mad at him for something stupid one day, and then told him that she was going to call the cops on him for dating me and he would go to jail because I was 16.

My boyfriend was shattered. He freaked out, asked me and I told him yes, I was so sorry because I know I lied by omission, sort of, and he almost left on foot to walk back to his brother's house. He finally calmed down when he realized that my dad absolutely loved him, and thought the world of him.

We are going to be having our 9 year anniversary in 10 days. We now have a gorgeous baby girl together and this man has never ONCE treated me bad. We have never had a single argument. I was mature for my age - I don't suggest every 16 year old to go out and date older men, but if you have your head on straight, I don't see a problem with it.

We got a little bit of shit for it but not much. There was one guy in particular who loitered at the McDonald's a lot. He was about 18, and hated my fiance for dating me. He would call him a pedo and all sorts of names within earshot where we could hear him. Funny thing is, the way he carried on, I go the impression he was just mad I wasn't with him. It ended with out head manager cussing him out one day and banning him from the property for harassing he workers. :D

I regret nothing!
