Albertans in B.C. border towns find hostile reception at times due to COVID-19 worries | CBC News

Jesus Christ dude. Students are basically children. They have no money, no job, no knowledge no skills. Virtually all are still dependent on their parents.

And you want to shit on some Newfie who is attending UVic. And you want to do it in every-which way. You want to shit on him if he weathers this bullshit in place in Victoria. You want to shit on him if he takes 2 ferries and drives across 10 provinces. You want to shit on him if he takes about 4 different flight connections to get home. You want to shit on him if he gets a summer job in Ft St John. You want to shit on him if his parents drive 10 provinces and two ferries to pick him up.

He has every right to attend uni in Victoria. He has every right to use Newfie plates and insurance. He has every right to stay and work in Victoria, in BC, or in any other province. He has every right to drive home because that is his official residence on his tax return and he is still a dependent of his parents. A bunch of retarded politicians said "go home stay home". Students happen to have two homes (often three because they get summer/co-op work in other places).

I can't even imagine re-living my student years right now. They are most definitely not "entitled".
