56% of British Columbians support expansion of nuclear power vs 32% opposed

Spent fuel is stored on site at nuclear power plants. There are plans to build a deep geological repository for permanent disposal, but the spent furl still contains 95% of its energy and can be recycled into new fuel. It's still a resource and we should keep it for future use.

The waste is incredibly small in volume. It's a solid and doesn't leak. It's actually an advantage that nuclear energy contains all its waste. Other industries don't really do this.

And yes it is dangerous but no one I'd exposed to it. Waste from nuclear energy has killed zero people in the history of nuclear energy.

And yes, we wouldn't build the same reactors as Chernobyl or Fukushima. Old nuclear is still overall very safe but modern designs are much safer.
