[AMA Request] Someone That has had their pet cloned

I really doubt a clone of my cat would end up with an identical personality for the same reasons a clone of Michael Jordan probably isn't going to end up as good at basketball. So much of personality is about surroundings, circumstance, upbringing, etc.

For one thing, my cat spent the first several months of his life living outdoors with its mother as part of a litter. He was one of the smallest compared to its siblings. That's got to count for something. My ex girlfriend and I picked him out because he was the cutest of the litter. I named him "Truth" after one of my favorite basketball players (Paul Pierce). That little dude was my boy. Me and that little homie would play fight and have a grand ol time together. Then after a month, my buddy was rubbing Truth on the belly and realized he had no balls. Turns out, little fella had a vagina. Big shock.

Early on we realized he had tapeworm. Pretty gross. We got that taken care of as soon as we realized it, but I always wondered if it may have stunted his growth. We moved a couple times and a couple of my roommates had cats Truth briefly became friends with, but for the vast majority of time, Truth was the lone house cat. I had Truth as several girlfriends came and went. My wife and I have been together for 7 years and Truth's personality has evolved into something of a pack animal. He follows us around from one room to another. Always wants to be wherever we are. Very friendly. Very vocal. Pretty needy cat who runs to the door every time we arrive and seems to get sad whenever we leave. Also has developed weird quirks over the years like trying to gently nibble my elbow if I'm a few minutes late feeding him. He's also had a stuffed Chihuahua dog he's been best friends with since he was a kitten. He'll loudly talk to the stuffed dog when he thinks nobody is around... he'll carry it around in his mouth from room to room as he meows loudly and then drops it and pretend like nothing is happening if you try to catch him in the act. The cat also freaks the fuck out like it's Christmas any time we're eating fried chicken, because he knows my wife will give him little pieces.

The point is, the cat has a distinct personality and I can trace a lot of it to how it was raised, it's environment over the years, and the people who it spent time with. I doubt a clone of my cat would be anything like it.
