Are there any beauty and skincare subs that aren't full of toxicity and cattiness?

So I read your line of comments on Asian Beauty but I do agree that u/spiralheart that your replies may have come off a bit harsh. No one knows how much research you did before asking the question and it's common in the Daily Help to cover the very basics just to be sure before trying to come up with a more complicated answer. I understand you might have been a bit irritated at being second-guessed but there a lot of newcomers on AB so it probably would have been best to just state the first part of your comment without the "Thanks for... idk, telling me I'm probably wrong and to just use what I have. This sub has become such a bad place to ask for advice." That was probably what triggered the downvotes in the first place. If you had just said, "oh, I'm just really interested in trying something new" then the discussion could have continued from there.

I also understand that you're on mobile but the answer concerning the links to galactomyces explanations led to a blog which is normally able to be seen on a mobile. And although reddit is absolutely terrible to sort through posts on mobile, a great way to sort through posts is to just use google and search "whatever you're looking for asian beauty reddit". Usually the first couple of links will be close to what you're looking for.
