Is attributing elevated CRP to weight substantiated of fatphobic

Actually excess weight has never been shown to cause issues. It correlative and highly confounding. Sure, there are definitely correlations where fat people tend to have a disease or disorder more than thin people; however, we cannot know this is from them having “excess weight”. For example, it’s beaten into all of us through society, the diet industry, and even doctors that being larger bodied is bad, it’s horrible, make yourself as small as possible! This leads to a very large stigma and discrimination against fat people in medicine. When someone who is in a larger body goes to a doctor for a true medical issue, many times it is written of as their weight and that is the end of it. while if someone in a smaller body were to go for the same issue, the doctor would take it seriously and run tests. This makes people in larger bodies not want to go to the doctor because imagine never being believed or taken seriously. If they don’t go to the doctor then there is no preventative care and this can greatly increase the proportion of disease in the fat population. This promotes the diet industry, and is again taught to doctors and instilled in us that fat is bad. And the cycle continues.
