Can someone explain why it tends to be young, white men who have libertarian beliefs.

while preserving the alternative economy blacks has created and thus strengthening the black middle class

What alternative economy? What black middle class? What are you on about? What a load of BS. In 1973 only 2.25% of businesses were black-owned. Today it's up to 10%. Please tell me you know about Tulsa...

What you are describing as the "libertarian response" is actually the DEMOCRATIC response.

And with regards to race they were indistinguishable. Integration was anathema to both libertarianism and the Democratic Party before the Southern Strategy.

And no, libertarianism didn't just come onto the scene with the Libertarian Party's founding. Plenty of right-libertarians were active before, during, and after this time. Guess how much they wrote about abolishing Jim Crow or Apartheid? Remember that Goldwater ran on a ticket of fiscal conservatism and anti-communism, not destroying racism in the South.

Lynchings -- vigilante justice -- is a violation of citizen's rights. Vote intimidation is a violation of citizen's rights. Segregated public schools are a violation of citizen's rights. Stacked juries are a violation of citizen's rights.

And libertarians have consistently opposed federal attempts at rectifying these ills beyond prohibiting de jure segregation. Wen these bills rarely do pass most libertarians celebrate their eventual repeal, aka the recent VRA repeal. Quit being so god damned disingenuous.

So basically you're taking the position that the only hypothetical libertarian response you'll consider is one that is completely hypocritical and violates libertarian principles.

...No. You've combined the most charitable reading of libertarianism with an absolute inability to study the rise of libertarianism as an historical phenomenon.
