all you have to do is look at the situation in Ukraine right now... then realize we are MUCH better armed, then realize the worlds third/fourth most powerful military (that also has nukes) owns the entire country (England)

the US would fair off about as well as Russia but the casualties would escalate MUCH faster

but considering that Canada and Mexico are their biggest trading partners by ALLOT there is no way they would plunge their country into a third world country even if Canada was a brutal dictatorship (they deal with dictatorships for oil all the time)... and by "ALLOT" i mean that Can/Mex total trade is larger than their trade with China and the entire EU combined
