Conservative Twitter is freaking out over a reported bot purge

"Obviously that guy would have stabbed 17 people to death, it happens all the time."

(Or the high school dropout in question would have built a bomb. Or a gun. Or stolen a tank. It never seems to end.)

Now, I actually agree that guns aren't the whole problem but it seems crazy to me that people think it's fine to run around with legal 30 round magazines on semi automatic rifles in public space. To me, freedom would be living somewhere where I didn't feel like I needed to have a gun of my own (I don't) or see a gun every day (I don't). Not a world of cowboys waiting for their chance to be a "hero" and villains running around armed for mass murder.
