Crowds in Baltimore march to protest Freddie Gray, They are targeting windows and cars as they head to Camden Yards

What I see as the worst part of all of this; is the fact that a majority of white people would probably march/riot with them. There isn't much love for cops in a lot of places.

But when you see videos like the ones that have been posted here, it becomes abundantly clear that the people that are rioting don't want to create solidarity against an evil that is affecting our nation.

We all want to be treated equally. But when your fight for equality means attacking anyone of a certain skin color, or maybe more appropriately NOT a certain skin color, you will lose more supporters then you gain.

I think the most ridiculous part is when you have an entire sub populace of blacks that believe they can not be racist. Just because they are not white means that whatever they say or do, is not racist it is just how they are.

That's incredibly ignorant and if that thought could be done away with, we might get back on track of creating some sort of community which includes all.

We the people can change the way people are treated in this country. But to do so we will first have to cut through the ignorance that is taught not only in schools in some cases; but we must, literally MUST find a way to end the ignorance that is taught in lower income places.

Lastly we have one more ignorant way of thinking to fight against, and that is "Why hasn't the black community figured out how to live with us." People will cite that Mexican immigrants have blended well with the U.S. and even in just the past few years (objectively) we have changed an entire nations thoughts on gay people. But in both of those instance I think, people have had their own identity. What I mean by that is people of Latino origin have always been able to look back at their own cultural way of doing things, and compare that to how they can live within the culture of everyone else around them. That's not a bad thing.

I personally think the blending of cultures creates new ways of thinking, new ideas, and just newness to sometimes a medieval way of life. But what is not usually taken into consideration with the black people of this country, is that for 245 years (according to Google) white people did everything possible to strip the then African-Americans of their culture. They were taught to be like us and only us. Yes we all know that some aspects were able to survive through song and storytelling. But that is such a small part of an entire culture; that it's basically a joke. So where as Mexicans or Asian immigrants were able to bring home with them, the African Americans were punished for trying to be unique. So they lost themselves. That left an absolutely HUGE gap. For a while they could have become just Americans, like so many others did. But even then how were they supposed to be Americans when all other Americans told them that they would never be equal.

I really hope no one tries to deny that the majority of Americans were racist to at least some degree after slavery was ended. At that point they had 250ish years to lose their African cultures, then they spent the next 100 years finding out that sure you can be free, but none of the True Americans will ever like you; and being told that you will NEVER be equal. Who the fuck were they supposed to become? They couldn't truly remember where they came from (culturally) and on top of that, were not welcome in the country that they were raised in they had to learn from each other.

Guess what they learned for 300 some years? No one wanted them here unless they were exactly like the white people. Sure small groups through the earlier years wanted TRUE equality but they were definitely not the majority. Even today in the south (not even the deep south) people would rather they go back to "where they come from" but again after 300 years that means back to America.

It's 2015 and I know we all like to think we are so progressive, and for the most part we are. But to deny the facts of American history racism and putting people that weren't the majority down; was and is the most dangerous thing of all.

I hope there are enough coherent thoughts in there to make a decent point. Good luck to everyone and have fun.
