The world favors greed and selfishness, the rich will continue to maximize making more money until the very end of the world. They probably build their own private bunkers to live in.

There is always hope though. Even if our species doesn't survive, another one likely will and then they may eventually evolve further than us!

The world is interconnected, every person has an effect on everyone else, our behaviors and moods affect others like ripples in a pond, cause and effect. This means we can make small changes in our life, to counteract the evil/fear/greed, by growing more in our capacity to love and care for others. Changing own life for the positive, makes it easier for others to change too.
