I'm not from Canberra but I've noticed this while living here.

Canberra is a bubble, people here grow up and make friends from friends of friends and stay somewhat is the same circles.

Seems they never really learned to 'always be branching out' which other cities, or just moving around in general forces people to do.

I don't think they mean to be like that and I'm not being negative but this just sort of seems like the behaviour pattern. I've got born and breed Canberra family and work colleges, and they all exhibit this behaviour.

Canberra has been good to me though, appreciate it for some thing but looking forwards to getting back to Melbourne.
