PJ O'Riley Canberra

Noticed Guinness got dropped off tap a year ago due to a dispute with supplier and now the bartender is telling me they are looking to be more craft beer only.

Anybody else looking forward to the end of the hipster trend? I sense it is near! It was cool for about a minute seeing a bunch of phonies suddenly become food and beer snobs. However, as somebody who grew up in a hip part of Sydney, none of the culinary discoveries are new to me (just the price tags) and beer with a fuck load of hops is getting kinda boring (I enjoy a standard lager on tap!)

Yes some of the hipster bars are great for a night out and it's awesome seeing Canberra's eating scene being invigorated by fancy foods. However, I sorta look forward to an end to it all, paired with a world with more cheap, casual bars where I can enjoy a massive beer with a schnitty without running up a $300 bill on pulled pork, kale, MASHED avocado and craft beers (which let's be frank... all taste like Squire's Hope Thief at 10x the price).
