Father murders his daughter because she had migraines so that she can be "migraine free and floating in the clouds on a sunny afternoon". Then kills, wife, sister, and self, so they can be in heaven. Fuck religion.

You're entitled to assume what you wish about me; and we're all passengers on a boatload of bullshit, whether you like it or not. There's no getting away from it, although not everyone is squabbling below decks. Some are looking out across the seas of mystery on which we are adrift

Religion isn't true. Period. Not one, not now, not yours, not theirs or the one over there. Not ever. It is a blight on our reason, and the of fools.

Whether you see it, or not, as human beings we have a duty to the truth, if we are people of character, and we owe it to ourselves to be smart enough and strong enough to rise above the folly of the past and to become renewed by knowledge, reason, and an ethical standard we all recognize.

Kindness and a reasonable, equitable level of tolerance and fairness are innate to most people, not because we were built that way, but because we survived by slowly becoming that way. And it makes us special.

No God made us good. No God made us at all.

We have made each other good, most of the time, and it is we who made God.

We are good by the virtue of our own virtue, and we are wicked when we are at our worst. We are fragile, complex, aggressive, and easily damaged.

When we are at or best, we recognize on some level that we are one another's best hope beneath this spray of dying stars, and that the love in our hearts is the best of what we are.

When the greed and selfishness that plagues us in the moments when our hearts are weakest, and when the reflexive fear that overcomes us all, sometimes, looms large and unmanageable... well, these are the moments when we have the opportunity to show our quality, and to demonstrate to one another just what human beings are capable of.

We're on our own. The ancient myths of cruel, flat-toothed, terrified ancestors squatting in puddles of shit near their herds of mangy goats are of no use to us now.

The sooner we rise to the real challenge, and stop trying to dominate one another with barbaric scripture from the ages of our shamefully cruel history, the sooner we will know whether we are going to fulfill our potential, or whether we will fail by our folly.

We have nothing to fear but ourselves, and we have nothing to gain but each other.

I'm not an angry person, and you can scratch away at my life if you dare, you rude shithead. After what I've been through, I'm not scared of much. Have at it, but know this. It won't change a thing.

Being appalled and angry at the sight of everything you care about passionately strangling itself with it's own dirty laundry in a wallow of stupidity, superstition and stagnation is a natural reaction. Some of us have been cursed with interesting lives.

I came by my anger, my outrage, and my cynicism honestly. They are just and they are warranted. My opinions are considered and informed, and were not hastily arrived at. So, before you tap out some lame condemnation of someone that you don't know a thing about, you might consider who you might be dealing with. There's serious people here and there.

You never know they are.

Peace.
