Final Fantasy X: PC Release Discussion

This idea I believe started as early as Ghosts 'n Goblins where when you first "beat" the game, you were told it was all a trap and gets sent all the way to the beginning to start over on in order to see the real ending. Granted you keep all your shit so it's really the OG Newgame+. And this gimmick is what made Ghouls n' Ghost series infamous along with its difficulty.

I personally never ever enjoyed a combat system where you just go through menu to select a move then watch you guy does it. Because that gets old REAL fast, and once it's stale, it makes me want to stop playing because I cannot dictate the animation time and the cutscene switch time. It's like Pokemon, we all know the groan when you're on the final block of grass then the screen flashes and you wait 4 sec to see the patterns go away and your guy and opponent slide across the screen then you 1 shot them by spamming A the entire time.

Which is frankly why I'm looking forward to FF15 (sacrilegious to purer I'm sure).

As for the story, I'm really here because Video Game was the medium chosen to tell this particular tale and not a book. There are NPCs each with their one-liner that I won't be able to remember but I still talk to them multiple times to see all the options. The Albed stuff yeah sure it doesn't really matter, but they still said something, something that I definitely don't think warrants a repeat visit just to see what was said, so just throw me a bone and pretend I beat the game already and give it to me the first time. Just like the No-Encounter and Max stats cheat is suppose to emulate me spending 50 hours grinding in each new location and maxed out all my characters' sphere grid (a tedious process erasing/replacing all the nodes) and let me figure out who is Tidus and what was Zanarkhand all about (something I'm genuinely interest in.)
