When he finds out Yuna will die, he really mans up, imagine, the guy is going to defeat a monster created a thousand years ago, and not only that he has to face his father, make peace with him, FORGIVE HIM, then proceed to do the impossible. I always hated people focused on the voice acting, yeah his tone isn’t the most alluring, and he even comes off as childish sometimes. But he is more of a man than any of the characters in the world of spira, he even brought cid to tears with his promise to yuna. He became the man his father should have been, and who auron wanted to be for braska. He single handedly led the charge against friend and foe alike, even the devout followers like lulu and wakka. In the end they all realize just how much he loves yuna. It’s even more heartbreaking at the end cutscene. Not to mention the continuation of pain in X-2. A mere kid, ending the “spiral cycle” once and for all, a true story of the underdog.
