Yeah the graphic updates are pretty underwhelming but remember it is also going to come with a significant performance boost over the original versions. This remaster is more about making the game accessible to a new generation not so much about overhauling things.

I'm also glad the only changes to gameplay they have made are ones that just improve convenience rather than combat. Seeing a bit of grumbling over the lack of lock on running, but remember the bosses weren't originally designed that way and it might actually break some of them. Running during bosses came with the penalty of having to manually aim the camera or risk blindly getting smooshed.
