Follow up discussion on Google Data expert's porn findings

As others have mentioned this data comes from porn-viewing women which is a small percentage of women. It also only says more women than men like porn that depicts violence against women, not that most women like it. I'm sure the reverse would be true too: more men than women like porn that depicts violence against men.

That said, I think there are a few potential reasons women like this type of porn. First there's just the fact that masculinity is sexually attractive to many women, and dominance is a masculine trait.

Also - and this is more armchair psychology than anything - I think many women are fearful of sex (not that they are actively afraid of it, there's just a baseline fear of sexual violation) and/or ashamed of their sexuality, and they overcome this by sexualizing it. If your biggest fear is rape, it makes sense that you'd have a rape fantasy. If you're ashamed of your sexuality, it makes sense that you'd want to be sexually humiliated. It's a sexual coping mechanism. Kinda like how many men with small penises will be turned on by cuckolding or penis humiliation, or how many sexual abuse victims will be turned on by abuse. If you have sex-related fear or shame that might otherwise hinder your sexual enjoyment, it makes sense that your brain would overcome this hindrance by sexualizing it.
