Greta Thunberg is Time's 2019 Person of the Year

She's been advocating people listen to the scientists, not hawking cheap solar pannels.

*panels (oops for you)

No, she's advocating people listen to certain scientists. Regardless, it's the same old appeal to authority argument.

In 2019, to blindly follow "science," is akin to blindly following religion in the middle ages. Science is anything but perfect. Science is riddled with bias. Shit, the first step of the scientific method is "hypothesis." Do you know what that means? It means a guess. Then, the scientists spends money and time to prove their hypothesis. If they don't prove it, they redo it until they get the results they want. If they don't get the results they want, the study isn't published. If they get the results they want, the study is published, but probably not peer reviewed as there is a systemic problem withing science; publish or perish. Most published articles are NOT peer reviewed. The studies are NOT replicated and there is even an replication crisis in the community where many studies are not able to be reproduced.

Furthermore, "science" has a history of lying to the public for political and capital gain: We were told cigarettes are healthy, we were told sugar doesn't lead to obesity, we were warned of global cooling (yes), we were told that oil was made from fossils and there is a finite supply, we were told that asbestos was safe to use as a building material.

You're ignorance is perplexing. But yes, "bEliEvE tHe sCiEnTistS" lol
