Unfortunately I don't really buy that argument because you automatically assumed that people are pushing the narrative that blacks are the main perpetrators

Whereas the issue might be that they perpetrate hate crimes at a significant level at all.

After all of the media attention around the BLM movement last year painting the black community as wholy oppressed by systemic racism there's this vast cognitive dissonance with the concept that they can be just as hateful and racist as any other demographic.

Sure, there are a lot of racist whites who are gleeful at the opportunity to paint them in a bad light but it's like, there's still a lot of racist blacks who are giving them that opportunity to begin with.
