Houston gets its first traditional Korean spa

Did you go to the one in Busan? Spa Land in Shinsegae Centum City, Busan was the best jjimjilbang I've ever seen. It was amazing.

Paid something like 10K KRW (which was a little less than $10 US) and stashed our clothes in the little lockers (thought it was pretty cool that the code to your locker also works as your charge acct. number for food and beverage, so you don't have to carry any money or a wallet), then went to ALL of the 15 different saunas - from the super hot and dry charcoal saunas to the "ice cave" cold saunas (which I want to have installed in my home here in Houston immediately).

Then we went to the floating rivers, the soaking pools filled with baking soda - and even took a few minutes in the "napping room". It made me a big fan of spa treatments, and was, without a doubt, the most extravagant day spa I've experienced, and one of the cheapest, too.

In NYC there are some really cool Korean spas, some with 8 or 9 floors of different "caves" and soaking pools, and all sorts of spa treatments, but they are way, way more expensive.
