Ok, so, your husband needs his permit which consists of taking 3 tests at the BMV:

1) General Knowledge.

2) Air Brakes

3) Combination.

To study, I personally recommend your husband yo study/practice these tests from an app called “CDL Prep” from the app store. You can also use cristcdl.com

Once he has passed all 3 since he has already completed his physical they will provide him with a paper copy commercial learning permit (CLP). Once this has been completed he will either need to enroll in a school for CDL training (paid outright by yourself, a company deal, or through a grant from the state) OR complete a “dock to driver” program with a company which I recommend more as he can get paid to train and get licensed.
