How did you fuck up your back? How did you found out? How did/are you solving it? How did you deal with it?

Trying to deadlift too much weight and too oftern and not trusting my body or listening to warning signs.

Earlier in the week I had missed a 4 plate deadlift by about 10kg. I was disappointed because I had lifted more than in the past.

I went back to the gym ~24 hours later to deadlift again. But, I hadn't been eating properly and I hadn't had much sleep. I was in a bad mood from an argument, I wanted to go to the gym to get my anger out. I didn't warm up with cardio, I didn't do any stretches or prior exercise movements.

I had mild back doms anyway but I walked up to the bar and it was something like this:

60kg x 5. Fuck this feel uncomfortable. Get your head in the game. 80kgs x 3. Stop complaining. No pain no gain! 100kg x 5. yeah that's more like it, you've got this 140kg x 1 oh fuck that ridiculously tough what's going on? You managed 5 reps on a dropset last session and now you can barely pull 1 from fresh?

At this point I rested I took a rest for a couple of minutes. Load another 20kg on the bar, I'm standing there staring at 160. this should be easy enough, you managed 170kg last session, why not warm up with this quick and then we'll move on to 175?

I try my best to get myself amped with music and motivations stuff, I'm pumped and approach the 160kg. It won't budge. I start pressing my feet in to the floor anyway, I begin to pull and suddenly I feel this click/crack/pop in my lower spine.

I'm not sure what happened, but the pain made me instinctively let go (not that the bar was off the floor anyway) and my legs just sort of curled under me.

I sat there in panic for a few seconds imagining my back now closely resembling this kust wondering how I'd get up.

I was in fucking agony, because I didn't listen to my body's warning signs, and because I hadn't taken good care of my health anyway.

I eventually crawled over to a bench to sit on and then realised I couldn't actually lean forward enough to tie my shoes. I sat in the sauna for 20 minute then headed home, but my work out and gone to shit after 10 minutes all because I didn't listen to my body.
