If we have laws to stop kids from drinking or driving under age because it’s dangerous, then we should use the same logic and have a law that requires all kids to be vaccinated. Kids shouldn’t suffer due to the stupidity of their parents

Actually it's due to more education on the subject. Pro vaccinators know nothing about the stats, the data, the deaths, nothing at all. They dismiss all anti-vax as conspiracy propaganda. But you have to look at the information that's available to you and make your own decisions. The more you read about vaccines the more likely you will turn anti-vax. And that's because there's only negative information out there. But the information, the facts can be scary. Are vaccines safe? Yes, if administered properly. Are vaccines unsafe? They absolutely can be when administered improperly. Being given the wrong vaccines, vaccines that shouldn't be given to you based on a health condition, or just plain bad luck. People in developed countries don't have to deal with this often, but those in 3rd world countries do. You take your child to a vaccination station and your child is given a shot by someone with a few months of training making $200 a month, with absolutely zero fear of litigation due to errors, and there's bound to be some errors. Children can and do become severely impaired and even die due to poorly administered vaccines. My child almost received the wrong vaccine when she was 1. My wife noticed the error and spoke up to the nurse who said "oh." Vaccines are great, they really are, but if you think they're 100% safe you're allowing yourself to have curtains pulled over your head. There's always a risk when you receive a vaccine. Africa and India has proven that the risks are real. Are the risks worth eradicating disease? Absolutely. But I would fucking cry a river if my child had to be one of the few to suffer for the greater good of mankind. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone, so if anyone doesn't feel that their child should get certain vaccinations, you know what, I survived with only a handful of shots so chances are they will too. My kid on the other hand has had probably 30 shots. Every time we go to the dr they say we need this shot or that shot. I know most new parents these days have had at least 15-20 shots in their life times so it's normal to you, but I had 6 and so did all of my friends and none of us died from the goddamn measles or chicken pox.
