Inside the Feminist Mind

i'll admit you've got a point. but i'll explain my difference in judgement. you draw comparison to other types of similar standard old humour stereotypes, about a black person stealing or a white person who cant jump (these stereotypes aren't really prevalent in Britain, but we've seen enough American tv to know that they are in the USA) and yes, they lack any originality. personally, i dont condone racism or bigotry against any other minority group. in humour or otherwise. it is simply not my wiring.

i'm of mixed ethnic background (English mother and Greek Cypriot father) and look obviously foreign. i'm from Liverpool, England, and i've never experienced any real racist discrimination. i have bipolar disorder for which i take anti-psychotic and anti-depressant medication for, but have never been discriminated against for that either. i studied in modern history in Liverpool University and have had no major trouble finding and holding down employment.

i know that not all feminists are militantly ideological and bigoted. but the only big mouthed groups i've encountered that preach discrimination that applies to any of my demographic characteristics that i have come across is either right wing socialist bashers, or feminist females hating on men.

first of all i point out that the female gender is not a minority. secondly, in England and Britain, equal rights for both genders have never been so proudly egalitarian in practice and opportunity. gender equality has been expedited massively in my 30 years of life in England. year by year, the percentage of women in the highest tax brackets and most powerful government positions is progressively rising. thirdly, too many feminists appear to be motivated by sexist spite, and have high-jacked the vehicle of gender equality and use it as a platform with which to promote their misandrist agenda and bigotry. real feminism is about real equality, not positive discrimination against and hatred of men. read this article about Goldsmith's University Welfare & Diversity Officer who claims that "i, an ethnic minority woman can be racist or sexist to white men"

this sort of behavior is what i mean by the culture of victimhood and political correctness going to far. too many times i see examples of them playing the "woman" card. being part of a demographic that has faced discrimination does not put you on a pedestal above being a bigoted scumbag. and does nothing to promote the equality integration.

i'm all for socio-economic equality and universal human rights for all regardless of demographics (gender, race, ethnicity, religion, creed, orientation, other identities etc) but while not all feminists are of this kind, too many are, and i enjoy ridiculing them in the same manner i ridicule racists fascists bullies and any other hate mongers.

you seem to appear to be sound of logic and reason. i'm interested to hear your views /u/tornadospoon
