Kevin Owens vs Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble doesn't feel like a big deal

KO is a chump. There is literally zero chance that he beats Reigns without a heaping helping of shenanigans.

Reigns is a god. The only reason Reigns doesn't have a world title right now is because he failed a drug test.

Reigns has beaten KO on RAW already. Twice, I believe.

Reigns is the US champion, which is not on the line or relevant to the rumble match in any way.

The title is younger than Bayley's presence on the main roster.

The title is meaningless. Has never been held by a well-booked champion. Looks stupid. And has no history or lineage. On its debut, it was made fun of by the crowd who paid to see it.

KO wasn't even the second-choice to hold it. First was Reigns (drug test), then was Balor (shoulder injury).

KO didn't even win it. He won a 4-way elimination match that featured Triple H, who has not been seen since, eliminating both Reigns and Rollins for Owens.

This match is nothing more than a reason for Reigns to not be in the Rumble, since he's not winning it and they don't want to make him look weak/have the audience explode in jubilee when he's eliminated (that's why Cena always has a world title match at the Rumble).

It's completely overshadowed by Cena/Styles, which is even more predictable, but features two legitimate strong contenders who have already had more on-air aggression than Owens and Reigns have had all year. And Lesnar/Goldberg, which features two RAW guys who haven't even entertained the idea of chasing the Universal title, despite the fact that both could easily win in it since they're both stronger than the Mega-Powers. Lesnar and Goldberg don't give a shit about the Universal title, why should I?
