[Landlord-USA-CA] - The acceleration of ESA accomodation requests

Instead of "No pets" or 1 pet allowed, put "No Animals".

The ESA folks try to say they aren't pets, they're service animals. Then they hit you with a barrage of legal printouts that split hairs so that you think you have no say.

You do. You can prohibit "Animals".

Courts have caught on now and generally only accept the "Service animal" moniker in the case of one animal, (not multiples), provided that it meets certain behavioral tests,.

For example that it is able to not be aggressive toward others, doesn't dart or lunge at other animals or people, and that it can control its barking to only essential reasons.

This where most fail as ESA's.

There's enough pushback now with untrained Animals being passed off as ESA's that courts now mostly side with landlords except in true ESA cases.
