Life is Strange Ending discussion [heavy spoilers]

You might want to re-read the post again. This is exactly what this addresses; "The message I was taking out of EP5 was that you need to stop trying to fix things and just let go. Using the photo in that last choice should be the wrong choice because once again you are trying to fix things. Enforce your will on the cosmos."

Besides, a tornado would not be uncommon around those parts and it would happen regardless of your choices and also, based on that statement, it would only make the tornado worse since the cause was Max using her powers, not Chloe herself. You're also not accounting for the fact that Max still remembers everything, which in turn means the damage is already done and irreversible so no matter what you chose, the storm would still happen.

But' y'know, that's also an oversight by the devs since they chose not to show that in the "Save Arcadia Bay" ending.

Or, you could look at it this way from what we already know. We know that she is going into an alternate reality each time she dives into a photo, therefore, if she were to use it the photo to "Save Arcadia Bay", that would be an alternate timeline and the "main" timeline would be the one where she rips the photo and doesn't uses it and just stays in that one "true" timeline.

Just some things to think about. Trust me, I gave this some real thought and I think Dontnod did themselves, especially if you consider the way they chose to do the ending.

Think about this as well, "your choice have consequences", the choose your ending bit is pretty much your "final choice" and that implies that "Saving Arcadia Bay" would be the worse of the two.

Also, if you chose to "Save Arcadia Bay", all of your choices up until that point don't count at all so it makes sense for the "Save Chloe" ending to be canon from that perspective as well.

Hope that clears it up better.
