LPT: Straight guys, the smallest things you can do to increase the attention you get from females is work on your hair, clothes, nails and shoes.

As a woman I cannot express how true these guidelines are, and how influential they are on a woman's decision making processes. PREACH.

To be more specific: 1. There are certain things in life that you should really splurge on. The first of these is headphones, but that doesn't really apply here necessarily. The second of these is fragrance. Go to Saks and buy a nice bottle of cologne ($100 is a reasonable price to expect to spend) that you think smells good and resonates with you. I guarantee it makes all the difference. But be careful in the application so that you don't reek, just be clean in general (this includes regularly washing your clothes or having them dry cleaned) and use fragrance as a subtle enhancer. 2. Footwear is hands-down one of the first things I notice. It really separates the men from the boys. You can't go wrong with Ben Shermans, check out their website. Sneakers need to be absolutely fly at all times if you aren't going with leather. If you are wearing sneakers out at night they need to appear immaculate. 3. Personal style is extremely important. To me it denotes a certain level of intelligence if a man dresses well. Hear OP when he proclaims the effect of wearing well fitting clothes. If you have a hard time finding clothes that fit, locate a good tailor and take everything there, even your lounge clothes. If you're still figuring out your personal style, may I suggest starting by only wearing shirts with collars when you go out. Avoid plaid and tees with words or labels on them. Even if you wear their clothes at home, never under any circumstances wear a clothing item out to meet women that has a mall-purchasable label like Aeropostle, American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, etc. visibly on it, we will think you are basic (anything with skulls, dragons, chinese characters, etc. is also a huge no no). Unless your shirt has words or logos that indicate a proper fashion house or a cool independent designer, stick with solid colors. Don't give women opportunity to judge you by wearing labels that don't indicate higher end style or class.

Especially if you're insecure about your physical appearance (for example, your face or a body type that you cannot change or are in the process of changing), it is absolutely critical that you follow the steps that the OP outlined. Now go get laid.
