You keep saying Reddit... did you think the entire online community consists solely of Reddit?

I interact with a number of people over the internet in my local community, through repeated interactions with these people I've developed a sense of who they are. They're not my friends, but they are people I come in contact with because I don't hide away in confirmation bubbles pretending my viewpoint is the only one that exists.

Would I say that you personally know me after this? No, we've exchanged a few comments on a single article. Wait until we've exchanged ideas over the course of an election cycle and the first year of a very contentious person's presidency, and the answer would be different.
