Miyamoto's Failure - Bosman at Home Ep. 3

I remember I was just out of high school when the Wii U was revealed at E3, there was a lot of excitement. I was studying with some friends for our finals and watching it. My friend and his two brothers were extremely excited but all I said was... "what? Is that it?". It was ambicious, I really liked the ZombiU more than anything that year. Then the Wii U came out and my doubts were proven true, it was a failure, I used to joke about nintendo, but it was terrifying how accurate some of these jokes were, the Wii U wasn't aimed at anyone, it was something like: "it's for YOU" and all I could think was "uhh nope, don't see a reason to own it." Then when literally no games came out and ports stopped being released for a year, I started commenting on reddit how I thought nintendo had failed, but there was a very strong nintendo defense brigade around 4chan and reddit for an entire year, you couldn't point out their mistakes without being downvoted or replied to go to hell because "the Wii U was the best console of all time", this only fueled my rage against nintendo and I kept hoping that they would sell poorly because they NEEDED to understand. My two friends with Wii U acknowledged the console's faults but said: "it's okay because it's nintendo, and I'll buy their next console too regardless". This seemed to be the mentality of the internet as well. Critics would point out a lot of negatives for the games but still were afraid of giving nintendo less than an 8/10. But with time, it was proven that it WASN'T okay, being Nintendo wasn't enough.

Now, 2016 - present day. These are the Wii U's upcoming games for this year, these are the latest games. There's no other way around it, it's a confirmed failure. However, I actually feel bad for all the shit I threw at the Wii U, it's doing way worse than I expected and Nintendo isn't even hiding it anymore. I just feel bad for them now.

Sure, Nintendo is good at making games. They've got some good first party games, that are fun. But would you trade any of those for say, Witcher 3? Final Fantasy? Fallout? Destiny/CoD? Overwatch? Tomb Raider? Uncharted? The answer is no, obviously no. They are fun titles but you can have fun with any console or PC, the Wii U is gimmicky, but it has nothing great to offer. Other than amiibos
