We are all buying into the old European stereotype that all the indigenous people everywhere are savages. The Brits of today seldomly believe this but indigenous people everywhere underestimate themselves like Parth did. India no longer lags behind majorly in any field let alone in medical sciences.

Yes, the governance is corrupt and pathetic leading to problems like the video above but this does not mean that India has lower overall standards of hygiene. India's medical tourism is a strongly growing industry.

Unless you live in a very small country, healthcare services are very terrible all around the globe. I have seen cases in US where the victim died without medical care for he could not afford treatment without insurance. In India, most government healthcare is very subsidized and the rest is very inexpensive (atleast for middle classes) due to intense competition.
