I experienced this too, at the beginning of my relationship. I think if you both want it to work, you may need to have a talk about certain things that you want or don't want, stuff that makes you happy or upsets you. Sometimes guys are kinda silly haha and need to be reminded.

Eye rolling I had to remind my bf many times that I felt very disrespected that he kept using his phone (idk scrolling) when we were on dates and stuff. And it took a bazillion reminders and he's really trying his best.

Or sometimes guys are kinda lazy and maybe he just enjoys idk playing video games at home?
