So, my neighbor bought the air ambulance from Firefly

Not a chance. Even discounting the lack of viable air-to-air armament. Let's pretend it can utilize an R-73 with helmet cueing (that's the Russian equivalent/copy of an AIM-9M Sidewinder with a hopped up locking feature). The F-16C (let's use a Block 30, to be fair, since that's pretty much a common export variant even though we consider them pretty obsolete for U.S. use, and it doesn't even have helmet mounted cueing for our purposes) can be equipped with the AIM-120 AMRAAM. That gives it about a 20 mile radar guided air to air capability, without having to remain locked (aka fire and forget). Let's pretend for a moment that the missiles doesn't destroy the Hind before it even knows the 16's are there (remember, a Hind doesn't have a fire control radar; it can't see aircraft coming except visually). The pilot can then switch to the AIM-9M or X (depending on what he's loaded with). That's a heat-seeking dogfight missile, the X having vastly better maneuverability and tracking capabilities than the M (the M is still an excellent missile). The F-16's are approaching at about 500-700MPH. They can get a lock, fire, and be out of range before the Hind can even turn to bring it's missiles to bear, even if it saw them before the AIM-9 is released. Let's suppose the Hind does get a tone and fires an R-73. The F-16 pilot simply releases a cloud of chaff and flare and has an excellent chance of avoiding an older design missile such as this. So, pretending that the AMRAAMs and AIM-9's for some reason fail to hit this flying billboard in the sky, and supposing even for a second that he managed to clip a -16 on the first pass and take it down, the second -16 simply has to climb away, orbit overhead, get behind the Hind, and shred it with 20mm HEI rounds. So, no, a Hind, given every possible advantage on earth, cannot beat two F-16C's. Or, really, any domestic or export F-16 variant ever produced.
